Own My Life Programme
Are you or someone you know affected by domestic abuse?

This can include physical, emotional, and sexual abuse between partners, ex-partners, or family members. It can also occur in other close or professional relationships, where there is trust or authority, such as those involving a religious leader, a friend, or a carer.

Own My Life is a 12-week recovery and empowerment programme for women who have been subjected to abuse. Through education, reflection, and support, we help women understand their experiences, recognise abusive behaviours, and rebuild confidence, independence, and healthy relationships.

What to Expect
  • Weekly sessions (2–2.5 hours), delivered online or in person
  • Interactive videos, group discussions, and practical activities
  • A personal learning journal to support reflection and growth
  • Six core themes covering mind, body, feelings, relationships, choices, and the wider world

What You’ll Learn
The programme explores the impact of domestic abuse and trauma, while also examining wider issues such as misogyny, sexism, rape culture, and controlling behaviours. Participants gain the knowledge and tools to make informed choices and move forward with confidence.
