Yemisi Ilori
Yemisi Ilori is a devoted Christian with a deep love for God and a heart for serving others. Born into a Muslim family, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at the age of 16 and remains profoundly grateful for God’s transforming grace in her life, describing her journey through the words of Colossians 1:13 — being delivered from the kingdom of darkness and brought into the Kingdom of His beloved Son.
Yemisi is married and blessed with two wonderful adult children. She enjoys travelling and discovering different countries and cultures. She serves as a Pastor with Busola Jegede International Ministry in the UK and is also a Street Pastor, reflecting her commitment to reaching, supporting and caring for people within the wider community.
Heart for Chosen & Beloved
Yemisi is passionate about Chosen & Beloved (C&B) because she has witnessed firsthand the challenges, hardships and difficult circumstances that many women can face in relationships. Her compassion is particularly personal, having witnessed some of the difficulties experienced by her own mother during much of Yemisi’s childhood.
These experiences have given her a desire to stand alongside women who may be facing similar circumstances, offering encouragement, compassion and hope while helping them recognise that they do not have to face their struggles alone.
Through C&B’s awareness initiatives, educational resources and blog posts, Yemisi hopes that women experiencing abuse or other difficulties within their relationships will be empowered to recognise unhealthy behaviours, access appropriate help and support, and make informed decisions about their safety and well-being.
Her prayer is that women will find hope, healing and restoration and, where there is abuse or a risk of harm, have the wisdom and courage to prioritise their safety, seek appropriate professional and specialist support, and move towards a life free from abuse.
Above all, Yemisi hopes that through the work of C&B, women will be reminded of their worth, strengthened in their journey and encouraged to look to God as a source of hope, strength and restoration.
